After appearing in 2 games for the Red Sox in 1990, Pankovits spent the 1991 season with the AAA Pawtucket club. After that season, the Red Sox organization gave him a new opportunity: manager of their AA club in New Britain, where he spent the next 3 seasons.
I remember this card but didn't know much about him. Seems like a lot of utility infielders become managers.

That's a cool opportunity to get. It's nice he was able to get a job in baseball, even if he wasn't playing anymore.
