Contest: Who's #100?
As you can see by the title of this post, I'm coming up on the 100th haiku on this blog. It's already written up and scheduled to be posted on Wednesday, May 1st. Coincidentally, that is just a few days after my 2-year anniversary of this blog! Sounds like a good excuse for another contest, huh?To enter the contest, all you have to do guess who Haiku #100 will be about! As it stands right now, I have 9 more posts planned between now and then. I'll end each post with a clue about our mystery player. I may even consider hiding a couple extra clues within the upcoming posts.
The first clue is worth 10 points. Make a correct guess on this post before the next clue is revealed, and you get 10 points. Each new clue will go down in value. You can guess once for each post, but only the latest guess counts. Makes sense? I hope so. Additionally, you can make a one-time guess for both the year and the company of the card. Each of these will get you 3 points for a correct answer. Any hidden clues won't earn points, but hopefully will help you get the correct answer before anyone else!
As far as the prize goes: Well, I haven't quite decided yet. You'll definitely get the winning card, but I'm planning on sending more than just a single junk wax card. (What kind of lame prize would that be?) I'll try to add some cards tailored to your collection if I can, or maybe send a pack or two along. Who knows? Plus, there will probably be a haiku involved somehow.
Sound like a fun yet over-complicated way to gets some cheap cards? I thought so! So without further ado, here's the first clue:
Clue #1: He's a former All-Star
Guess the player on that, and you've pretty much got this prize in the bag! Good luck!
Yaz!
