Playing for the Athletics at the time, his 7 steals against the Blue Jays in the 1992 ALCS tied a feat Lou Brock accomplished in both the 1967 and 1968 World Series.
Nice record to tie. Willie Wilson is one of those '80s players who deserves a bit more recognition for his career accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I don't remember him pulling off that feat. Pretty cool though... since he had to be in his 30's when he did it and was probably towards the end of his career.
