I thought it would be fun to make this haiku a companion poem to the one I did of Gene Larkin, the man who drove Gladden home in that epic game winner.
I bet the majority of baseball fans remember him for that play or his grand slam. When I saw his name... the first thing I thought of was his early years with the San Francisco Giants.
