Yep, you read that right - 22 strikeouts in 7 innings. He actually had to get 2 extra outs because his catcher twice dropped a third strike, allowing the batter to reach first base.
Wow. Talk about video game numbers!
ReplyDeleteI'd argue that it's better than video game number. Don't remember any of my NES, Genesis, or PS games where I struck out every batter. Mad props to Garrelts.
