Ubaldo became a minor sensation in 2010 when he started the year winning 11 of his first 12 games with an ERA under 1.00, while also throwing the first no-hitter in franchise history. He also starred in one of MLB's most amusing commercials:
some friends and i went to a game at target field that season specifically because of the matchup - ubaldo vs. liriano. ubaldo did not disappoint and won his 13th game that day putting him at 13-1. he was 15-1 at the all-star break. crazy.
