Last year, I didn't complete any major sets. When I realized how close I was to completing the 2024 Topps Holiday set, I was highly motivated to get it done. Fortunately, I found numerous people on the TCDB that looked like they were working on the same set, so I was able to make some quick and easy swaps!
The first trade I'm showing off if from Aaron in Pennsville, NJ. Aaron's return knocked these off the list:
I followed that up with a smaller trade with Nick in Portland, OR.
Finally, one last trade with Phillip in Owingsville, KY.
Thanks to these three trades and these three awesome trade partners, the 20024 Topps Holiday set is complete! This marks the second Holiday set I've completed, with the 2019 set being the first. I've also been making great progress on the 2024 base set, so hopefully I'll have that one done before Opening Day as well!
Thanks to Aaron, Nick and Phillip for the quick and easy trades!
Congratulations on your set build! I'm down to 20 SP's needed to finish my 2019 Topps Heritage. It's my one and probably only set build. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWell done, nice accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteNice. It hardly seems possible to me to complete a set like this the natural way. When I returned to the hobby I tried with 2016 Opening Day but I still have a bunch of cards I need. But I should probably open a TCDB account or something.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. I completed the 2019 one, but wasn't interested enough to do any of the other holiday sets. I thought about 2024 though.
ReplyDeleteWoo! Congrats!
ReplyDeletePretty sure the only Holiday set I have ever completed is the 2019 set. Good luck on the 2024 Flagship. I'll be jealous if you complete it by Opening Day. I haven't made progress in weeks with mine, but I haven't been to a show or flea market in over a month. As soon as the weather drys/warms up... I'm hoping to find some commons I need in dime boxes.
