Trapped In Time: Remnants Of The 39th and 41st Trades

It's time to pick up the pace a bit. I've been toying with showing off multiple trade remnants for awhile now, and I think it's time to do it regularly. I just don't like showing off a single card, especially since my goal is to cull unwanted cards from the trade stack. This month we have 6 vintage cards on the block. Last call to trade for them, or they'll be added to my personal collection!

These cards are from my 2nd trade with Gavin (Baseball Card Breakdown). He sent me a lot of great vintage cards, and I'm genuinely surprised that so many from this trade are still left!

The next trade come courtesy of TCDB super-member Mark Z. This was a great package of cards, highlighted by the 1960 KC Athletics team card. That one went quick, but one lone card remained.

Trade #41(Mark Z: TCDB)
Traded 07/12/19: 1961-62 Fleer (basketball) #32 Willie Naulls, 1972 Kellogg's All Time Greats #1 Walter Johnson , 1972 Topps #437 Maury Wills, 1972 Topps #450 Mickey Lolich

  • 1968 Topps #233 George Scott (See Trade #43)
  • 1968 Topps #519 Jerry Stephenson (See Trade #220)
  • 1960 Topps #413 Kansas City Athletics (See Trade #43)

Ironically, this very card was mentioned in the comments as one of interest. It's still here if you want it Chris!

So, to recap, these cards will get pulled from the Time Travel Trade stack and added to my collection unless someone offers up a trade for them before the next official update. The clock starts now!

  1. Shouldn't you have to trade for them?

I just don't have many pre-1970 cards or I'd trade for Davis.

    1. I have already traded for them once, that's how they came into my possession. These particular posts are more to determine if these cards should still stay as part of the project or not, and help cull an ever-growing list of cards from that project.
