Trapped In Time: Remnants Of The 68th And 69th Trades

It's time to put a few more cards on the trade block!

Trade #68 (Personal collection swap)
Added to My Personal Collection 10/05/20: 1971 Topps #295 Bobby Bonds, 1971 Topps #310 Tommie Agee, 1980 Topps #51 Joe Ferguson, 1980 Topps #290 Steve Garvey (AS)

Added to the Time Travel Trade Stack 10/05/20:
  • 1980 Topps #90 Manny Trillo
  • 1980 Topps #145 Darrell Evans
  • 1970 Topps #37 Dick Drago (See Trade #83)
  • 1970 Topps #200 1969 AL Playoffs Game 2 (See Trade #83)
I knew this would eventually happen if I did this little sub-series long enough. I finally reached a trade with myself. These cards were originally sitting in my doubles box, and unless someone trades for them soon, back to the doubles box they will go!

Both of these guys had decent careers. Trillo is a 4x All-Star who has won multiple gold gloves and silver slugger awards. Evans played until the age of 42 and eclipsed the 400 home run plateau.

Our next card is the lone survivor of a sizable trade with Bo (Baseball Cards Come To Life!):

Trade #69 (Bo: Baseball Cards Come To Life!)
Traded 10/14/20: 1958 Topps #289 Series Hurling Rivals (CPC), 1959 Topps #521 Gary Geiger, 1963 Jay Publishing New York Yankees #NNO Yogi Berra, 1963 Jay Publishing New York Yankees #NNO Whitey Ford, 1963 Jay Publishing New York Yankees #NNO Elston Howard, 1965 Topps #267 Washington Senators (TC)

Received 10/20/20:
  • 1969 Topps #75 Luis Aparicio (See Trade #136)
  • 1969 Topps #107 Checklist 110-218 - Bob Gibson (CL, ERR) (See Trade #71)
  • 1969 Topps #360 Jim Wynn (See Trade #75)
  • 1968 Topps #205 Juan Marichal (See Trade #74)
  • 1968 Topps #257 Phil Niekro (See Trade #100)
  • 1968 Topps #320 Frank Howard (See Trade #134)
  • 1967 Topps #60 Luis Aparicio (See Trade #215)
  • 1964 Topps #30 Ron Perranoski (See Trade #73)
  • 1961 Topps #83 Bob Bruce (See Trade #281)
  • 1961 Topps #111 Jack Meyer
  • 1961 Topps #114 Hobie Landrith (See Trade #89)
  • 1961 Topps #189 3rd Series Checklist 177-264 (CL, VAR) (See Trade #71)
  • 1956 Topps #80 Cincinati Redlegs (TC, VAR) (See Trade #125)
  • 1956 Topps #284 Ike Delock (See Trade #125)

Meyer's claim to fame is coming in second for the 1955 Rookie Of The Year award. He pitched 7 seasons for the Phillies and was done before he turned 30. This is a great looking card I must say - backgrounds don't get much better than that! Fun fact: As of right now I have 4 cards from the 1961 Topps set in my personal collection. All four ended up there because they were Time Travel cards no one wanted. Will Meyer become the 5th?

These three cards will get pulled from the project and added to my collection unless someone makes an offer for them.
