When you're a low-budget collector like myself, sometimes you need to think outside the box. I found something that I personally thought was worth sharing with all you lovely people. While traversing my local Wally-World, I came upon an end cap near the craft section. On clearance were some plastic "crayon boxes".
Of course, I wasn't thinking about crayons. These little boxes looked like they just might be the right size to hold cards. For 50 cents each, it was worth buying a couple to find out.
Pretty solid construction, to be honest. It's made from sturdy plastic, stackable, and the lids clip on rather than rely on some cheap little hinge. Plenty of room on the side to make labels too.
I managed to comfortably hold about 75 cards. As you can see on the left, there is a little wiggle room, but not enough that I'd be concerned about damage.
Considering that BCW sell 55-count cases for $1.39 on their web site, these seem like a great alternative! I'll probably swing by and pick up some more. Hopefully these will work for your collection too!
