Happy Independence Day!

Just a quick little post wishing all of my readers a Happy 4th of July! It'll be a fun day for my family, as my wife is planning a gender reveal for her sister on that day. I personally have no clue if the "little fire cracker" will be pink or blue...

It'll be a different 4th of July no doubt. In addition to the gender reveal party, my town has decided to swap out the annual fireworks show for one using drones. On one hand, I've seen a few online and they look cool, and no doubt dog owners and combat vets will be appreciative. However, it's just not the same and will take some getting use to. I do appreciate a good Laser Show though!

  1. Happy 4th to you as well! I figured you would have used a Boston card for the fireworks, lol. Nice Hire's Hank too!

I've never seen a drone laser show before. Sounds interesting.
That hot dog in the middle looks delicious!

  3. A. Hope you and the family had fun at the gender reveal. That definitely sounds like an exciting 4th of July. I spent the entire morning on the road coming home from Oregon, but was treated to a delicious BBQ when I got home.

    B. The whole fireworks thing has become a very debatable topic. I grew up enjoying fireworks (illegally) in my neighborhood and (legally) at ballparks, amusement parks, and a my local community college. However when I saw how terrified my ex-girlfriend's dog was... it was truly sad. I had two dogs when I was a kid and neither were impacted like her dog. And honestly I didn't even consider military veterans with PTSD until a year or two ago. Can't even begin to imagine how terrifying that would be for them. Anyways... like I said... a highly debatable topic.
