Hits out of nowhere!
Career year with the Rockies
Placed third in batting

| 1987 Topps Traded #58T Mike Kingery |
Kingery was a career .268 hitter over the course of his 10 year career, never starting over 100 games. However in 1994 he hit an unexpected .349 in his first year with the Rockies. That only came in 301 at-bats, under the minimum to be considered for any statistical leaderboards. Per league rules, he was able to make up those at-bats with "hitless at-bats" and that still left him with a high enough average to place third in the National League that year (behind Tony Gwynn and Jeff Bagwell).
