Right On! 1977 Topps Is Complete!

A little over a year ago, I decide to finish off the 1977 Topps set.  I needed 110 cards to finish off that set, and little by little I chipped away at it. The generosity of my fellow collectors played a huge part of it, as well as some trades over at the TCDB. next thing I know, I'm down to just 4 cards needed! Those last 4 card came in 2 envelopes:

The World Series Champions from the year before were the Cincinati Reds, so it's ironic that two of the remaining cards featured two of the more legendary players from that team. Thanks to Bob (The Best Bubble), Hall of Famer Tony Perez and all-time hits leader Pete Rose got checked off in quick order.

That left just two cards to go! Fortunately, I found a trade partner through the TCDB - Steve from Lincoln Park, NJ (Aside: I didn't realize Lincoln Park was an actual town in Jersey - always though it was, well, a park! I bet Steve gets a lot of comments about the band from there..) Anyway, Steve sent me the final cards I needed, along with a couple of Red Sox needs to boot!

It's finished! 1977 Topps is now the oldest set I've completed, and it probably will be for awhile. My thanks to Bob, Steve, and everyone else who helped me with this task! On to the next set! (Still deciding on that...)
