Ian Kinsler may have retired from playing in the MLB, but he is set to participate in the next Summer Olympics for the Israeli National Team. He's Jewish, and officially obtained Israeli citizenship last year.
Interesting. Pretty sure he played for Team USA a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteI've always found people playing for random countries in the Olympics kind of bizarre. Also didn't realize they were doing baseball again in the Olympics.
