Filer won his first game with the Cubs in 1982. The next time he pitched in the Majors was in 1985 with the Blue Jays, where he finished the season 7-0. After battling injuries, he came back again with the Brewers in 1988 and won his first 4 decisions. Equally remarkable: During this streak his team won 19 straight games he started.
