Prior to their inaugural season in 1993, the Florida Marlins traded for Weiss to be their starting shortstop. After that season, he signed with the Colorado Rockies, becoming the first player to play for both expansion teams. Weiss would go on to manage the Rockies from 2013-2016. He also could have been the first person to manage both teams, but he declined an opportunity to interview for the Marlin's position after the 2022 season.
That is interesting, I didn't know he had that distinction - or that he turned down the marlins' job.
