Repack Haiku #207 (Jim Deshaies)

Still holds this record
Jacob deGrom would tie it
During rookie year
1987 Topps #2 Jim Deshaies (RB)
Update 07/12/21 - The record has fallen! (Marlins Pablo Lopez Breaks Modern Era Strikeout Record)

  1. Woo, Massena's own!

He didn't really stand a chance of making the 'D' category in my A-Z list, but I actually forgot about him as a possibility.

  2. Jim "Silhouettes on" Deshaies has been doing the TV side of Cubs broadcasts for the past few years. He's been talking more since Len Kasper moved to White Sox radio and the Cubs brought in Boog Sciambi this year, and they seem to have a good banter between them.

  3. I'd say deGrom has a good chance of breaking the record. The way people strike out these days... there are a few guys who could do it.
