Jim (Cards As I See Them) recently had another of his (Almost) Free Card Friday giveaways. In exchange for at least one card from his want list, I was able to select up to 6 cards from the lot he posted. Even though I didn't get to read his post until the Tuesday after, there were still plenty of good cards left and I had no trouble finding six I liked:
The three Red Sox cards are pretty self-explanatory. I didn't even realize the Doerr was a short print until I had it in hand. Ortiz, even as a Twin, is always a welcome addition to the collection. I have a soft spot for the 80's Glossy All-Stars, and Schmidt was one I didn't have. The Pudge card just looked awesome. (I don't know why Jim gave that one away - it clearly says it's "A Keeper")
Favorite Card: Despite the heavy Red Sox flavor, the Sports Illustrated cover sticks out!
