He
was drafted by the Mets in January 1984, the Astros in June 1984, and
the Cubs in January 1985, failing to sign with the club each time. He eventually signed when
the Orioles selected him as the 11th overall pick in June 1985.
Provided he could've hung around for a few years, the Mets in '84 would've been a pretty good place to be.
