Stanton earned three World Series Championship rings during the Yankee dynasty. He was also given one by the Braves in 1995, even after he was traded at the deadline to the Red Sox.
An underrated key member of some great teams. One of the best Mike Stantons to play for the Yankees.

DeleteI like to think that the *current* Yankee decided to go by the name Giancarlo out of deference to *this* Mike Stanton. I know it's not true, but it's an interesting coincidence.
