Time Travel Trading Update #67

Can I just start out by saying that I'm glad my week of Hall of Fame posts is over? The bloggers that post daily are impressive machines and I don't know how you do it so consistently. Anyway, I'm back on my 3 post a day schedule!

Leading off this month's collection of Time Travel Trades, we have Greg (Night Owl Cards) who gave a cute little polar bear a home and sent along a generous octet of my favorite team:

Now, you may have noticed I didn't show off the back of these cards. The reason for that is simple. I wanted them! 7 of the 8 were needs, including a card from my quest to complete the gold parallels of the 2018 Red Sox! So I invoked my privilege as the keeper of the Time Travel Trading project and made a personal swap. So instead of the above Boston beauties, I humbly offer you these cards in their place:

The 2015 Masterson is the only holdover from Greg's lot. I tried to put a nice little mix of cards, and as the centerpiece we have a vintage card of an NFL Hall of Famer!

Our next trade comes from Brendan (The View From The Third Floor). Brendan's package is highlighted by a bunch of inserts from this year's Opening Day set. I was tempted to make a personal claim for that Red Sox Triple Play, but I didn't want to do that twice in one post. If it lasts until the next update maybe I'll snag it, but don't let that stop you from claiming it if you want it!

Reprints! Get your reprints here! Jeff (Wax Pack Wonders) sent some old cards done anew with his latest trade:

Bo (Baseball Cards Come To Life!) snagged a trio of 1950's cards, and sent back another trio of 1950's cards!

A new trade partner over at the TCDB, Ron, showed interest in a couple of vintage cards, and we made a trade! That Otter-hound becomes the fourth-oldest card in the trade stack!

Greg (Night Owl Cards) gets double-exposure for a second trade completed in the past month! Greg graciously took some Marlins Dodgers cards, and sent back some shiny cards for you!

We end today's post with one final trade. I was able to find a good home for the 1958 Topps Zorro! A TCDB member named Bob had it on his want list, and I was able to make a trade for a vintage Red Sox:

As always, these cards are all available in exchange for an older card. You can claim your cards below, or through the TCDB (Kep75). Let's make some trades!

The Time Travel Trading Project is simple in concept. I started out with a random pack of 2018 Topps Series 1 baseball cards. My aim was to trade every card in that pack for something older. Each card I receive in turn is then made available for trade, with the goal to get the oldest card I can get.

Number of trades completed: 181
Unique trading partners: 64

Number of cards mailed out: 822
Year of oldest card mailed out: 1910-11

Number of cards received: 1,229
Year of oldest card received: 1890

    1. Not much activity on the blog, although I have a couple of possible trades in the works over at the TCDB. Good thing I can count on you, Greg, and Brendan to keep things flowing!
